Leland L. Fleming, Ph.D. 

ABOUT

Dr. Fleming's research focuses on disrupting the negative influences of stress and trauma on aging processes in the brain.  This work is motivated by a long-standing interest in healthy aging and the personal experience of losing a close family member to a battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Through his work, he strives to improve the way we measure biological aging in the brain and use this knowledge to investigate the impacts of stress-related disorders. Dr. Fleming also hopes to help train the next generation of scientists through providing the same supportive mentorship that has helped him to thrive throughout his career.
